James Morrow was a Presbyterian minister serving Medicine Hat and in 1923, when many locals could still remember the early days, he collected and published this series of historical sketches.  It covers SE Alberta and SW Saskatchewan, including the Cypress Hills, from the earliest days.  It includes 56 historic black and white photos. Inventory of Buildings of Medicine Hat Hilary Tarant has been systematically researching, photographing and inventorying the buildings of Medicine Hat, built prior to 1960. These inventories may be consulted at City Hall or at the Medicine Hat Archives in the Esplanade.

Angela Stubbs and Carol Ann Ross have assembled the eye-witness stories of the war brides, those women who married Canadian servicemen during or shortly after World War II and came to their new home on the Canadian prairies. The book was launched on Sunday, 5 October 2008 and is now available at the Esplanade Gift Shop for $18.95 plus GST.
